The neighbourhood

Living in Parque

The park itself is the point. It is the largest in central Lisbon, with the Estufa Fria glasshouse at the bottom and a viewpoint at the top that lines up perfectly down Avenida da Liberdade to the river. It is where people in this part of town run, walk dogs and sit out the end of the afternoon.

The streets around Parque station are quiet and residential but only a few minutes from the offices of Saldanha and the shops of Avenida. The blue line puts Baixa seven minutes away.

It suits people who want the centre without living on top of it, enough distance for a decent night's sleep, not enough to need a transport plan.
