What renting in Arroios is actually like
Arroios is the smallest of our four Lisbon clusters and the one that empties first. There is rarely anything free on the day you ask, and rooms are usually taken weeks before the date they come free, so the useful question here is not what is available now but what is available for your month.
The stock is shared flats and nothing else: doubles mostly, a handful of singles, no studios and no apartments. It draws people who want a neighbourhood with its own life rather than a convenient base, and who are willing to plan further ahead to get one.
- Why is there so little available in Arroios?
- It is our smallest cluster and it books out early. Rooms are usually taken well before their free date, so an empty search today often means everything is spoken for rather than that nothing exists.
- How far ahead should I book for Arroios?
- Further than for Alameda or Saldanha. Set the move-in filter to your actual month rather than looking at what is free today, or you will conclude we have nothing here when what you want is simply already reserved.
- Are there studios in Arroios?
- No. Everything here is a room in a shared flat, mostly doubles with a few singles. For a studio you want Marquês de Pombal, which is where nearly all of them are.

Booking terms
We're flexible: you can stay for just a few days or for the long term. Most residents stay for a semester or a full academic year, and there's no obligation to sign a twelve-month contract. Minimum stays can vary by house, so check the room's listing before you book.
It’s simple! We accept payments via credit card, bank transfer or cash.
Yes, there’s a security deposit to ensure everything stays in great condition. It’s returned at the end of your stay, as long as everything’s in order.
If you need to cancel, just get in touch with us. We’ll do our best to find a solution that works for you! Some cancellations might have associated costs, depending on the timing.
